North Wales Bike Ride - 8 June 2008

Your challenge

The British Heart Foundation has launched a brand new bike ride in North Wales this year and we hope you can join in the fun and enjoy a great day out!

The North Wales Bike Ride on Sunday 8 June is a bike ride for all ages. You'll get to see coast and country with the majority of the route on cycle paths away from traffic.

The 15 mile route starts at 9am from the Arena on the seafront in Rhyl. Following the coastal path you'll make your way to Prestatyn where you'll join the Dyserth Way cycle path, venturing onwards to Rhuddlan before returning to the finish line.

This is a great opportunity to use the network, but please note that you will be following a cycle path and may need to cross roads at certain points. To ensure your safety and enjoyment of the day, you are required to dismount from your bikes at these sections; marshals will be on route to advise on these parts.

At the finish line you'll be able to relax with friends and family to celebrate your achievements.

This is not a race and you can take as long as you like to complete the route, however we ask all participants to raise sponsorship for the British Heart Foundation. This event is a fantastic way for you to look after your heart whilst raising vital funds to help the British Heart Foundation continue its pioneering, life-saving work.

The North Wales Bike Ride is sponsored by the Sports Council for Wales and supported by the North Wales Outdoor Challenge Group.

How to enter

Entry fees are £10 for adults and £5 for 12 to 16 year olds, which includes a free t-shirt. Any places still remaining on the day will be charged at a higher entry fee.

To register please fill in the attached form and return to the BHF or register online. Once registered you will receive further information on the ride itself, tips on raising sponsorship as well as your participant number to wear on the day.

Closing date for web and postal entries is Friday 30th May.
