Welcome to the BHF Bike Ride's 2009 website!

The British Heart Foundation’s series of events are a fantastic way for you to look after your heart while raising vital funds to help the British Heart Foundation continue its pioneering, life-saving work.

There will be two bike rides in Wales this year, the North Wales Bike Ride and the Gower Bike Ride.

The North Wales Bike Ride takes place on Sunday 10^th May 2009 and will include an additional more challenging 30 mile route for the avid cyclists among you.

The Gower Bike Ride takes place on Sunday 5^th July following the same routes as previous years.

For the third year running, the events will be sponsored by the Sports Council for Wales. Faced with the ambitious target of getting our communities more active, more often, the Sports Council for Wales is urging people to capitalise on the opportunity to get active in the great Welsh outdoors and join in the battle to transform the population into a fitter, more active nation.
