Welcome to the Hearts First Bike Ride's 2008 website!

The British Heart Foundation's series of Hearts First Events are a fantastic way for you to look after your heart while raising vital funds to help the British Heart Foundation continue its pioneering, life-saving work.

There will be two Hearts First Bike Rides in Wales this year, the Gower Bike Ride returns once again and this year the BHF is launching a brand new bike ride in North Wales.

The North Wales Bike ride takes place on Sunday 8th June and further information can be obtained by visiting the North Wales Bike Ride section of this site.

The Gower Bike Ride takes place on Sunday 6th July and further information can be obtained by visiting the Gower Bike Ride section of this site.

For the second year running, the events will be sponsored by the Sports Council for Wales. Faced with the ambitious target of getting our communities more active, more often, the Sports Council for Wales is urging people to capitalise on the opportunity to get active in the great Welsh outdoors and join in the battle to transform the population into a fitter, more active nation.
